John bristles, but doesn't immediately respond, letting that immediate snappishness pass. He knows His voice is tight when he responds.]

[Years on, years in, even with Mary there, and it still feels strange and uncomfortable to have people wanting to look after him in any capacity. Mrs. Hudson had been different, motherly to everyone, not just him. That had made it all right, and even she'd gotten to be too much for him at times.]

Yeah. Where's he headed?

Nowhere, right now. I handcuffed him and left him in the entrance area.

The sink. There's no way he's going to break out of it the way he is right now, he's barely standing.

But he's not in one of the buildings that we all need to pass through to get in and out of the tunnels, surely.

Uh, no, obviously. He's in [ House's number for building 245 here ] which is far enough away that he's not going to mess with anybody trying to get out of the ice tunnels.

For right now, anyway. If he dies or something gets him, he'll pop up somewhere else.

People have been coming back less lately.

... Yeah. So here's hoping he doesn't, if he dies.

[ Clint misses Natasha, and - well, Tifa too, to an extent. He's got an empathetic tone of voice, here. ] Not that it changes anything, but at least people would be a little more safe.

Look, I really don't like killing people, but between him screwing everybody over and the fact that now he's getting other people to do his dirty work, I don't exactly feel bad for leaving him there with only a day's worth of food.

You're doing what's fucking necessary. Killing is sometimes necessary.

Yeah, it is. I hate it and I only do it when there's no other choice, but.

[ Sigh. He mutters something about Natasha, and then: ] You and Duster are heading up through the ice tunnels, right? You should be okay to keep moving. I'll make sure he doesn't screw with you guys.

[And he's glad that Clint did it. He's also mentally calculating how quickly he could duck up there and finish the Joker off himself, but he's not going to say that out loud.]

You're staying in the area, then?

I'm at the aquarium right now so I kind of have to be in the area. I can stick by the hospital for a day or two to make sure he doesn't get free, if you guys need the buffer.

I've got Harley with me and I don't - really want her near him.

[devoutish]

Watson's worried she'll hurt you for his sake. Is that a concern?

[awwnoun]

Maybe. [ Sigh. ] Based on what I saw, it's a possibility, but. I'm not going to let her do anything to me. I like her, but I'm not stupid.

Would you hurt her, if she attacked?

I'd try my best not to hurt her really bad. I'd defend myself, if that's what you're asking.
