[Well, this guy is clearly still an emotional wreck.

Even with the shellshock gone, he still reminds Alfie of some of the soldiers he'd met during the war - the younger ones, mostly. Some of them had been about to toughen up when they needed to, and had been reliable. Some of them hadn't. Alfie wonders which sort Rhys is, and decides to make sure he's never in a survival situation with the man until he finds out.

He sees the text when he wakes up on the morning of day 126, but doesn't answer right away. He waits until evening, when he's bunkered down in an impossibly dark basement and starts feeling the need for distractions.]
