I'm in the pharmacy and there's a bottle here with your name on it. Do you want me to grab it for you and leave it someplace easier for you to get it?

[He's not even close to running out of the first bottle he'd been given - he takes it much, much less than House.]

Dr. House will want some, too. If you run into him, contact me, and I'll tell you how much he gets.

She's up North, so we'll catch up with her and then, I don't know. Might go back to the tunnels. With our packs and extra stuff, we can carry like, three weeks' worth of food, if not more. Might go to the museum and take a look at that new area to be dug up.

Whatever Kes wants, really.

My plan was to head up towards the school and drop some stuff off there. Then I'd head for downtown so I could restock at the grocery store.

Trying to! There's been a lot of people coming and going so I need to do another round of contacting everyone. I already left some stuff for Al, though, and Charles wanted some things as well.

It's going pretty smoothly, all things considered.

Heard back from Mr. Barton. They're not going to be doing anything with the information from my notes, no hunting people down or anything like that.

How are you feeling about our new Mr. Belfry?

I hope the lot of them clash horribly and spend all their time trying to arrest each other.

[Entirely deadpan:]

That would be unproductive, Alfie.

[devoutish]

But it would be very funny.

[Beat. Okay, fine, you can have a serious answer.]

I think he's gonna learn that his methods are pointless here, or he's gonna make all our lives difficult by trying to neutralize everyone he thinks might cause him trouble.

[John is quiet for a moment, deciding how much he wants to tell the other man.]

He's another one of the ones I know. Not as well as the Avengers, but I know him. The Joker is his nemesis. I'm sure they'll keep each other busy. The Joker's probably gonna get more violent with him being here, though.

[devoutish]

What else do you know about him?

I don't know which... version of him this is. Generally, he's a lot less nice than most other heroes when he's got his suit on. But he's still a hero and cares about helping people. He just doesn't mind playing the 'bad guy' if that's what he has to do.

[devoutish]

Bit of a hypocrite, then? The sort who thinks doing bad things is only all right when he it?

Yes. He is. He lives with that because more people are protected because of it.

[devoutish]

Does he admit it, then? I can stomach that better than the self-righteous types.

[jumpthegun]

Depends on the version. I dunno about this one. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. He's bloody pushy, though, ordering me about for medications.

Are you really too polite to tell him to fuck off? You're a doctor. Is he?

I'm not and I did.

[More politely than that.]

He kept on about it trying to order me. But he wants to help, I didn't see verbally slamming him into the floor because he's a rude git would do much good. I can deal with those, as you know.

Did your Sherlock tell you how to do your doctoring?

[He's talking about you, Alfie. But he'll let it pass.]

No. Of course not. Sherlock knew how to deal with dead bodies, not living ones, and he still needed my advice at times.
