Her son works with her, but I don't know about the rest of her family. Some of the bandit gangs are more violent and unpredictable. They tend to shoot before dealing. Half of them were driven completely nuts, the other half are just ruthless. Most of those started after Dahl started to withdraw from the planet. Lots of convicts used for labor that were left behind without any resources, so they got desperate.
