[ Royce oofs, playfully, when they get back down to the mattress. ]

That's the only thing, though. Everything else is too much.

And what about sailing trips?

A selfish ruse. I wanted to look at the crystals so I brought you along in case of bears.

[devoutish]

If I can't even hunt rabbits, what makes you think I can hunt bears?

[bywolves]

Not to hunt the bears, so that I can push you in front of one and run. [ Royce. ]

[devoutish]

I'll remember that, when we're sailing home and I find myself with an opportunity to push you into the water.

[bywolves]

You'll also remember it when I vomit on you from seasickness.

Should've brought a raincoat.

[bywolves]

[ Royce huffs out a laugh, making a face. ] Gross.

[devoutish]

You started it, didn't you.

[These two are children.]

I did. I didn't imagine it until you brought in the raincoat.

[ Super are. ]

[ He's just gonna go ahead and push Alfie's face. You big ham. ]

[He tries to catch Royce's hand.]

[ Royce laughs again, letting Alfie catch it after he's shoved a bit. That sure is a big unrepentant grin on his face. ]

[Success! He shoves Royce's hand into his own face, palm first.]

It is good to see you smiling, though.

[bywolves]

[ Rude!! Royce lets out a monotone ow at smacking his own face, but he's still grinning. ]

I think I'm finding a balance. [ He admits. ] And you always help.

[devoutish]

That means a lot to me. You know that, yeah?

[bywolves]

I do. I'm glad that it does - I could stand to tell you more often.

[devoutish]

I can tell, even when you don't. You make it clear in other ways.

[bywolves]

[ He shifts to settle against Alfie's chest, pulling the blankets around them. ]

I am at ease when I'm with you, ahraelsha. [ Royce murmurs. ] You'll always be able to tell that much.

[devoutish]

[Royce is the sweetest person in the world; that is objective fact. Alfie hmmms softly, and repeats:]

[ He's glad someone thinks so. ]

Mm. [ He hums in agreement, almost sleepily. ]
