[ It makes Royce laugh again, and he brings his hand up just a bit to grin down at Alfie. There's a pause, and then: ]

Really, though, I... I enjoyed the meeting I had earlier.

Do you wanna tell me more about it?

[bywolves]

Yeah. [ Royce goes back to petting Alfie's hair. ] We went out to sit in the woods. The trees showed me a place for us to sit. We talked about exploring the ocean, and K made... flower headpieces, for all of us.

[ He sounds amused. ]

And where's yours now?

[bywolves]

I took it off, because I'd never hear the end of it from you if I wore it home.

But have you still got it?

Left it at K's house.

... Huh. I don't know. [ Royce says, after a moment. ] Maybe. That's what proper religions do, right? I don't know how proper we are.

I'll have to bring it up.

If you do-- well. I'd come along, for something that was public.

[He has no interest in worshipping Zephyr, but Royce has celebrated his holidays with him, and he wants to do the same in turn.]

[ Royce isn't even really interested in worshiping Zephyr either. The way the meeting went today feels more like his speed. ]

You would? [ Royce asks, lips twitching into a smile. ] If it was going to be something, it'd likely just be... ah, I don't know. A music festival with plenty of food. Like Zephyr's birthday.

I would, yeah. No matter what it is. I'd want to be there for you; I'd want to celebrate with you.
