[She grins, dipping down to her chin] I think you'd all get tired of me hanging around bugging you for snacks.

[He runs a hand down her back, shoulder to hip.]

Is that a common mermaid activity, then?

[Eyes half shut, she smiles up at him]

Obviously. How else do we get all those delicious cakes. No cakes in the water.

Exactly, yes; no cakes in the water. Sounds to me like you should be swearing off snacks entirely.

[furgood]

And what am I supposed to eat then? [She drapes her arms around his neck and raises an eyebrow] Going to stock these bath with fish?

[devoutish]

Just don't eat the ones in the wall.

[He says, motioning to the built-in fish tank.]

You know I own pet fish right? I do know the difference between friends and food with fish.

[devoutish]

Tell me more about your fish.

[He says, sinking into the water with a contented sigh.]

They belonged to my friends and I wished them here. Because I'm pretty sure no one was there to take care of them.

[Hum] So now they're mine. I showed them to Zefur y'know, there's big versions of them in the ocean.

[devoutish]

Did you visit with them when you were a mermaid, or was this after?

[furgood]

I visited when they were playing with the ocean. When they placed them in the ocean. Though I still see them when I'm out on the ocean.

[devoutish]

And do they make good pets, fish? I never much saw the point of them myself.

[furgood]

Hmn, they're different. They have personalities but it's less so than dogs or cats. Smaller. You don't have to do as much for them.

[devoutish]

How can you read a fish's personality?

[furgood]

You know, like any animal. Some are more interested in food, some less. Some explore their bowl, seem interested in the world. Move faster, so on.

[She illustrates her point with her hands, doing through the water, poking at Alfie and then darting away]

[He makes a playful grab for her hand, flicking water at her.]

You should ask Zephyr for the ability to speak with them.

[furgood]

[She snatches up his hand, tugging it up under her chin. Hers now, no takebacks]

Then I hear fish talk and who wants to eat something that's talking to them?

[devoutish]

You're not gonna eat your fish, are you?

[furgood]

Nooo... But I do eat fish. So I don't want to speak to them.

[devoutish]

That's easy enough to solve; ask to only be able to speak to your own.

[furgood]

Mnnn...I guess. [Crooked smile] You're all with the wish ideas today.

[devoutish]

It's been a while since I've wished for something myself. I've only got ideas for the rest of you.

[furgood]

Then I should find some ideas for a wish for you. Any desires unfulfilled?
