[ He's so frustrated over this. There's a beat, and then, almost dismissively: ] I would've let you do it.

[ Video is weird, but Royce doesn't know what else to do. He's kind of floundering here a little, so of course he goes to Alfie for advice. Tifa is curled up on the couch next to him, and Royce looks vaguely uncomfortable, but - worried, too. It's a twist to his features he can't hide, at the moment.

There's a beat, as Royce kind of just stares at the camera to make sure it's working and that both of them are in frame, and then he speaks. ] Solomons. Cloud was locked out.

[ pls halp ]

[devoutish]

[Oh, for fuck's sake.]

Yeah.

[Seriously. Shit.]

Tifa?

[Duster, why would you pick me for this instead of finding another woman for her to talk to? thinks Alfie.]

[powersouls]

Hi.

[Her voice is shaky and quiet, and it's not much of a response, but she doesn't know what else to say. Part of her just wants to curl up in a corner and not talk to anyone, but she knows from experience that will make it ten times worse.]

[devoutish]

Have you got a friend you can talk to here?

[His tone is gentle.]

[Tifa rubs a hand over her face and shakes her head. She does have friends, friends who would talk to her, and some of them aren't even women! But Angel and Rhys have their own issues to deal with, and Ginger just lost Clayton, and she doesn't want to bother Nathan with this. There's nothing any of them can do, anyway.]

I'll be fine.

[She's such a liar.]

[ Royce makes an annoyed sound in the background at this. Tifa, please. ]

[He's not trying to pick at her here - just acknowledging her pain, and letting her know that it's not something he'll judge her for.]

[It does hurt, and she bites her lip, curling in on herself a little.]
