[Her voice is shaky and quiet, and it's not much of a response, but she doesn't know what else to say. Part of her just wants to curl up in a corner and not talk to anyone, but she knows from experience that will make it ten times worse.]

Have you got a friend you can talk to here?

[His tone is gentle.]

[Tifa rubs a hand over her face and shakes her head. She does have friends, friends who would talk to her, and some of them aren't even women! But Angel and Rhys have their own issues to deal with, and Ginger just lost Clayton, and she doesn't want to bother Nathan with this. There's nothing any of them can do, anyway.]

[ Royce makes an annoyed sound in the background at this. Tifa, please. ]

[Her voice breaks, which is probably good, considering she was about to say that it isn't fair, and she thinks that sounds childish.]

Nobody's fault. [ Royce repeats more firmly, echoing Alfie. He shifts on the couch, looking vaguely frustrated. He kind of looks at the screen like - help, what does he say, at Alfie. ]

Tifa, are you gonna be all right tonight?

[Tifa swallows, an attempt to get herself together before she responds.]

I... I'll be fine.

[Or she'll just pretend she is. Whatever!]

I'll make sure she is. [ Royce says idly. All sorts of casual. ]

[Royce might be acting casual, but it's still super unexpected, and it catches Tifa off guard for a second.]

[There's obvious relief in her voice. Royce did something right!]
