Nah, not exactly. It always seemed like too much trouble, especially with Hyperion and Atlas after them.

We found this little robot, Gortys, that Atlas made to find the Vault of the Traveller. It was hard not to be interested after that.

[devoutish]

And did you find it? Did you get all the treasure?

[plundering]

Nope. Not yet. Before I got here we ran into Vallory's gang and two vault hunters she hired. One of them knocked me out and then I woke up in this hellhole. We don't... have the best luck.

[devoutish]

Think you'll pick it up in time?

[plundering]

[She shrugs.]

I can't turn invisible or snipe someone from a thousand miles away. I'm not a siren, but I want to do it.

A siren. Like Angel, with her glowing tattoos?

We ended up in the same house one night. We got to talking.

Sirens are rare and crazy powerful. They've got some sort of connection to Eridium, which is all over Pandora. I guess that's why so many of them have shown up there.

I still don't understand much about them. Can she do those things?

[plundering]

Do what things? From what she told me, all sirens are different.

The things you mentioned. Turning invisible, and hitting a target from a thousand miles away. How do you fucking hit a target from a thousand miles away?

[Fiona laughs, shaking her head.]

"A thousand miles away" was an exaggeration. Turning invisible isn't. Zer0 is... I don't know what the hell Zer0 is. Neither of them are sirens.

They both sound equally fantastical to me.

Turning invisible isn't normal. Neither is having glowing tattoos, it's just that most vault hunters aren't normal. The ones that last, anyway.

Sounds a bit ominous, doesn't it.

[He fingers her hair.]

[Fiona just shrugs.]

Dunno. We haven't had the best luck lately.

[And Mordecai and Brick might have killed her if Athena hadn't been there. Details!]

Your job may be more dangerous than mine. Yeah, I'm sure of it, in fact.

Hey, I'm like a... baby vault hunter. Barely even started.

Won't it get more dangerous the longer you're in it? Bigger jobs, higher stakes?

Right now, I just want to find the vault Gortys was made to find, grab whatever's in it, and get off Pandora.

[And... yeah, okay. She probably won't be happy with finding just one vault. Even Athena had mentioned as much.]

Mm. Yeah, time for more adventures after that, eh?
