I went to sleep blind and woke up the next morning with my sight. The same with my speech the time before.

[Yes, but that's par for the course. He has Sherlock again, for all the good and ill that entails. The other man is, if nothing else, a very solid distraction from much of John's personal turmoil. Being in the pharmacy, particularly, isn't a great time, though.
