Of course. Remember the Void and the Sisters?

I do. Yes.

[furgood]

Down in the bottom of the ocean were their trees. There was color and...[She turns in a slow circle looking around and finally points out a wisp of gold] I brought some of it to the surface.

[devoutish]

[What. He's going to turn and head for it immediately, wanting to get a better look.]

Any sign of the Sisters?

[furgood]

No, none. Sadly. But there's a creature with tentacles down in the depths and he says they came from that strange rain. And they came a long way, so long that they lacked the strength to make it to the surface unaided.

[Meulin hangs back a little, enough to let him touch that fleck of gold and not her] Bringing it to the surface was...it was more than anything I'd ever felt. Just a pure rush of--of that. Hope and trust and all that this is supposed to be. I've seen crimson too on my way here as well.

[devoutish]

[Now that Alfie's looking for it, he's seeing some around, too. He brushes his fingers through the air near the gold, but doesn't quite touch it. Not yet.]

Are we meant to collect it, do you think?

[furgood]

It doesn't feel quite the same... When I touched the tree, it all came with me. I was surrounded by it, inside and out it felt like. I wonder if it feels like it did for them.

[devoutish]

You don't seem any different.

[He takes a big step back, so that he can give her a good look-over.]

Do you feel as if you've been changed?

[furgood]

Not physically. I feel...I feel good but it's faded a little. It was just this enormous rush of emotion. I felt that it trusted me. It was so intense that it made me feel almost giddy.

[Meulin smiles and ghosts her hand over the wisp, not touching] It made me hope. Wonder if they sent this as a gift. Or if it was just out there lost waiting for us.

[devoutish]

Do you remember all the colors that came to you more easily, on that world? I imagine it'll be the same here.

[furgood]

Gold and emerald. Sometimes crimson. Finding silver was a chore.

[devoutish]

I've forgotten mine.

[He says, a tinge of sheepishness to his voice.]

I remember the Sisters better than the colors they represented. Rae, she was gold and red, wasn't she?

[furgood]

[Meulin laughs and shrugs]

Rae was gold and red, yes. I always remembered what colors I was good at getting because they mostly went to her. I'll admit I don't remember much about the others. Besides Eve. And that's only because she explained.

[devoutish]

Explained what, their situation?

[furgood]

Their situation, how to gather color. Whenever we go visit there's usually someone there trying to explain what's wrong.

[devoutish]

Mm, I don't always go to them. Me, I like asking people who aren't positioning themselves as the authority.

[furgood]

Better to get all the information right? Besides Eve didn't really. I don't think. Not like some of the people we meet when we go to other worlds.

[devoutish]

Yeah, I'm sure she was all right. All the Sisters were, really. Noc was my personal favorite.

[furgood]

I think we all had favorites. They were all very different. Which was Noc again? The one in the church or the library?

[She feels a little bad but she handle spent much time with them. Their colors called less so]

[devoutish]

She was in a library. I don't think I saw a church.

[furgood]

One of them was--someone told me it was a church at least. It has all the stained glass? It was gorgeous, the sister just was partial to colors I had a hard time finding.

[devoutish]

Ah-- that would have been Royce's Dia, I think.

[The stained glass jogs his memory.]

[furgood]

Royce's Dia? I didn't know he was that fond of her. [Pause] Not that it's my business. Or that I knew him at all at that point really.

I think or only real interaction back then was him wingmanning for you.

[devoutish]

[Alfie frowns a little at the unfamiliar term, raising an eyebrow.]

"Wingmanning"?

[furgood]

[Oh no now she has to explain it]

I have no idea where the term came from but, you know, either talking you up to someone or getting out of your way if you have it under control.
