IC trade organization post

To facilitate the spread of supplies, requested goods and goods available for trade may be listed here. ALFIE SOLOMONS may be contracted as broker for an additional fee to be negotiated by the parties involved. Brokerage services may include:

Negotiation of the trade deal
Enforcement of the pre-arranged terms of the trade deal
Delivery of goods

Once an agreement has been reached, the broker will require a small nonrefundable deposit, to be paid as soon as possible. Full payment will be due once the trade has been completed.

Participants must be aware of the risk involved in trade in Norfinbury, including but not limited to significant delays caused by unforeseen town activities and the disappearance of trade goods to due the deaths of one or more participants. The broker will be responsible for making a good faith effort to see a deal done, but cannot give a 100% guarantee of success. The initial deposit is nonrefundable regardless of the outcome of the deal, except in cases of negligence on the part of the broker. If a trade fails or is cancelled for any reason, final payment will not be required. Purposeful failure to uphold any part of an agreed-upon brokerage deal will result in future blacklisting from brokerage services.

The broker will not act as an enforcer for deals made by parties who do not hire him as broker from the onset, and no protections or guarantees will be given in these cases.

IC discussion of any kind is totally welcome - just make sure it's under the right header! On an OOC level, it's like the player-placed items page in that it's an independent player-run thing and not managed by the mods. [Okay, it's been a night. It's been a night of far too many emotions, but this just pisses John right off.]

What the hell do you think you're doing? Medicine isn't candy. You don't just hand it out to anyone without a reason or make up stories for it. We are living in a resource-limited world. D'you not get that?

Dr. Volakis, this is dangerous, it's irresponsible, and it's bloody unethical. You don't know any of these people's medical histories. You don't know if they're addicts. You're going to create an addiction problem, and the last thing we need here is that. What in the hell would possess you to do this?

You're right. I know you're right. This isn't...me. It's not how I am. I'd never do this in any normal circumstance, but I don't know what else I can offer. This is the only thing I have that anyone would consider valuable.

You have your legitimate medical services to offer, doctor. D'you know what happened when people abused the emergency medical system here that could deploy and immediately heal people from life-threatening injuries? The Admin shut it off. Please consider very carefully what she might do if we abuse the current prescription system. I really don't think you wanna be responsible for eliminating that as a resource for every single person here to satisfy a few addicts.

You have your mind to offer, as well. You are, I assume, an intelligent woman outside of this particular moment. You don't have to be clever with computers or anything else to be a help here. You just need to observe and share what you find with the group. If you need actual supplies, then there are people here more than willing to assist you for free. If you need clothes, talk to Ginger and England. If you need food and you're in the tunnels, talk to Clint, Lutha, Frisk, Quark, or any of the other people running food. If you need tools, tell people what you need specifically, and they might well come to you if they have it.

[She doesn't expect charity. Being a bleeding heart has never done her any favors. The only thing she could ever count on was playing the game--and playing it well. In the end, that let her down, too. Amber isn't exactly sure what her next move should be. She just knows that it can't be as easy as everyone makes it sound like it is.]

If you need something, really need it, I will find a way to get it for you if you can't get it yourself. That is a promise, and the only thing I'd ask in return is for you to only issue legitimate prescriptions.

People don't do that for other people--and not for her, the manipulative bitch that you can't trust as far as you can throw. Nothing is free. She can't believe that he would be so selfless, even if she'd like to.

[It takes her a long time to even send those words, her voice strained. Thinking about being a better person is the best she can do right now. With Wilson gone, this seems like a harder venture than ever.]
