[The use of his title is a bit of a jolt. John sighs. Alfie and Royce aren't enemies, and as much as Royce irritates him--Alfie, too for that matter--they're people he wants to help.]

She does have Dr. Suresh's test kit. If there's a viable donor, she might be able to do a direct draw transfusion. That's got more risks than what we were planning with another set-up, though.

I wouldn't advise it unless you were in an actively life-threatening situation, anyway. I have a few people searching for filters that should make the transfusions safe. Claire and I are both worried about excessive clotting.

I keep asking myself if I should be feeling like a prick.

[On the one hand, he and Fiona were very much not exclusive, and they all probably have only a couple more months to live at best. But on the other hand... there's a lot on the other hand. Not actually wanting to be an advantage-taking asshole to a woman who does seem to like him. Fiona's soft hair and warm skin and the fact that she's been dead for less than a month.]
