Come on, then.

[Gently, Alfie nudges him aside so that he can stand, then turns back around to hold his hand out to him.]

Let's go to the treehouse.

[bywolves]

[ Royce pulls himself up with Alfie's help, humming low in agreement. The treehouse is definitely where he wants to be, right now. And honestly, he sort of wants Alfie to know how the treehouse itself makes him feel. He'll see, when they get there.

For now, they can head over. ]

[devoutish]

[Alfie is quiet on the walk over, head tilted slightly upwards to watch the trees and the sky as they go along. At the treehouse, he lets Royce go first; he's always faster on stairs than Alfie is.]

[bywolves]

[ Alfie might feel Royce reach out to the trees, here and there as they walk. As usual, nature and being outside, in the sun and fresh air, drains all the tension out of his shoulders. Like always, he wonders if it's because he's half-elf, or if he's just accustomed to living outdoors in general.

When they reach the stairs, Royce climbs up, but he goes slow, matching Alfie's pace. And he'll open the door for him, too. ]

[devoutish]

You don't have to wait for me.

[He murmurs as they climb, though he's gotten used to it - come to expect it, even.]

[bywolves]

I'm not even going to dignify that with an answer. [ Royce tells him mildly. He knows he doesn't have to. ]

[devoutish]

Yeah. You could run up these stairs if you wanted to.

[bywolves]

I could, but I don't have a reason to. I'm walking with you, not ahead of you.

[devoutish]

All right; you could carry me on your back, then.

[bywolves]

If you want me to fall down the stairs, sure. You weigh twice as much as me.

[devoutish]

I certainly do not.

[Alfie huffs, amused, as they reach the top of the winding staircase.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce gives him a little grin over his shoulder as he opens the door for Alfie. ]

Right, of course. [ nyehhh ]

[devoutish]

[He grabs a lock of Royce's hair, tugging it playfully. Ass.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce makes a huffy owww sound, and then shoos Alfie into the treehouse, closing the door behind him. He'll start the movie up for them, taking his time. They have nothing else pressing to do. It's nice. ]

[devoutish]

[Alfie slides out of his shoes and settles on the bed, on top of the covers on his back, legs stretched out. He'll let Royce handle everything with the TV and DVD player.]

[bywolves]

[ He's got everything set up after a minute, which means he makes his way back over to Alfie and flops out on the bed. The feeling of contentment from him is pretty strong. He hasn't bothered to turn most of it off yet. ]

[devoutish]

I can still feel what you're feeling.

[He murmurs as he shifts closer - just in case Royce has forgotten and doesn't want to be sharing anymore.]

[bywolves]

Mm. I don't mind. [ He settles in. ] Unless you do. If you mind, I'll turn it off.

[devoutish]

I don't.

[He says, flopping an arm over Royce's middle.]

No, I don't mind it; I like it.

[bywolves]

[ He's happy to just lay here and let Alfie hug him. It's nice. ]

Then I'll leave it for now. [ Get ready for all of his emotions he feels during Return of the King. There's a lot of them. ]

[devoutish]

[BRING IT, ROYCE. He grabs the remote, starting up the movie.]

[bywolves]

[ As always, the parts with Arwen and Aragorn hurt a little to watch. There isn't as much in this movie, but for the little parts that there are, he gets... wistful, maybe. Just a little sad, but not too much.

THe victories are what he's looking for. Frodo managing to throw the ring into Mount Doom, Sam helping him the whole way. The satisfaction and relief and joy at watching all of this might be vaguely embarrassing, but Royce doesn't care. ]

[devoutish]

[Embarrassing? No, adorable. Alfie can't help but grin when he feels the emotional surge from Royce, though he doesn't say anything about it - he just lies there looking happy.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce ends up sprawled across Alfie's chest and lap about halfway through the movie, like usual. He won't say much either - these movies tend to enthrall him and he's not paying attention to anything but it. Some other fun little emotion sparks - a bit of attraction and respect to both Arwen and Aragorn that he doesn't notice, a strong, strong sense of protectiveness over Sam, and vague annoyance at Frodo, here and there. ]

[devoutish]

[Alfie doesn't speak up when it ends - he just quietly dozes for about half an hour, drifting. When the credits finish and the DVD menu kicks in, though, he grabs the remote again to flick off the screen.]

I didn't know you didn't like Frodo much.
